Grateful...
I am grateful there was no school on Tuesday, so my youngest kids could go with me on a quick road trip up to Bonney Lake to visit my oldest daughter and snap a few shots of her newest addition. I am grateful for the DVD player in my car to occupy my young ones as we cruise along in the rain using my windshield wipers that I am very grateful for. I am grateful it only took me 2 and a half hours to drive there. I am grateful we made it home in the same time even though it was pouring rain with barely any visibility, and extremely grateful there was a gas station exactly where I needed it when I needed it, just 14 miles from my destination.... grateful for the little things, especially this sweet little one, named Jordyn...
P.S. I couldn't post these without a picture of his adorable big brother whom I am also grateful for... Jaycen Maddox!

Colston turns 13!
It's always hard for me when any of my children have a birthday...exciting, yes, but at the same time, another year closer to adulthood. While I want to embrace their coming of age and growing into marvelous adults, it's another year closer to giving them their wings, which ruffles MY feathers just a touch! He's a beautiful person inside and out and celebrating his entrance into the teenage years proved nothing less. On this day, he had his final football game of the season, the Championship, which we fought hard to win, but in the end the other team declared victory. After which he and his buddies didn't skip a beat and went on to party like their hadn't even been a game that day. They are true champions any and every day! Happy 13th my son.

Jordyn Mycal!
We got on the road to journey home after attending my nieces wedding in California, knowing we weren't going to make it home in time to witness the birth of my second grandson. We did manage to arrive when he was only 8 hours old and I was able to grab a few shots before we headed home for the night. Isn't he beautiful? Looks like his mommy! Welcome to the world my new little lovebug!
